Terms of service

DeskMitra is a service run by Avam Innovation ("we", "us"). It gives businesses that take appointments, such as clinics, salons, spas and people working alone, a WhatsApp assistant, a booking calendar, client records and reminders. By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of your business.

Your account

You sign in with your WhatsApp number. Keep your phone safe: anyone who can read your WhatsApp can sign in.
You are responsible for the people you add (receptionists, doctors) and what they do in the app.
You must give true details about your business.

Free trial and plans

New businesses get a free trial of 7 days. No card is needed.
After that, the service is paid for by monthly or yearly plan, as shown on our pricing page. Payments are taken by Razorpay through UPI AutoPay or card, and renew automatically until you cancel.
If a payment fails or the trial ends without a plan, the service keeps working for 3 days. After that, WhatsApp bookings and reminders pause until a plan is active. Your data is kept.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice on WhatsApp. A change applies from your next renewal.

You connect your own WhatsApp Business number. You must follow WhatsApp's Business and Commerce Policies.
WhatsApp (Meta) may charge for some messages your business sends. Those charges are between you and Meta.
Only send offers and reminders to people who agreed to get them. The app asks for this and handles "STOP" replies for you.

Clinics and health information

The app helps you keep records and send messages. It does not give medical advice, and it is not a replacement for your professional judgement.
Checks like allergy warnings are aids only. You remain responsible for every prescription and treatment.
You are responsible for following the rules of your profession, including the rules on advertising and on keeping patient records.

Your data

The data about your clients and patients belongs to you. We process it only to run the service for you, as described in our privacy policy. You can export or delete it.

Fair use

Don't use the service to send spam, to mislead people, or for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do, after warning you where possible.

Availability

We work to keep the service running all the time, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time in the app. See cancellation and refunds. We may end the service with 30 days' notice, and will refund any period you paid for but can't use.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai have jurisdiction.
